Kerrville is home to many retirees: nearly a third of residents were 65 or older in the 2020 census. Schreiner University set an enrollment record in fall 2025, and every fall hunters head into the Hill Country. Each group has different storage needs, and Mount Storage Kerrville on Medina Highway (TX-16) covers all of them.
Online units here start at $49 a month, and you can rent online and move in the same day.
Downsizing without letting go of everything
Moving from a family home to something smaller usually means deciding what to keep, what to give away and what to sort later. A storage unit buys you time to make those decisions, and it holds furniture meant for children or grandchildren until they can take it.
- Small units (5×10) for boxes, keepsakes and seasonal decorations.
- Medium units (10×10, 10×15) for a bedroom set, a dining room or a garage’s worth of tools.
- Large units (10×20 up to 12×40) for a full household, a workshop or a car.
The size guide shows what fits in each size.
RV and trailer parking on TX-16
Many Kerrville residents travel by RV, and HOA rules or narrow driveways often leave nowhere to park it at home. RV, boat and trailer parking in Kerrville includes spaces from 20 to 35 feet, depending on what’s open today, with gated, drive-up access. Parking starts at $39 a month online.
Hunting season gear
In Kerr County, archery season for white-tailed deer runs October 3 to November 6, 2026, and the general season runs November 7, 2026, through January 3, 2027, according to Texas Parks and Wildlife. A unit near town holds blinds, feeders, stands, coolers and ATV trailers between trips, so they’re out of the garage the rest of the year.
Storage for Schreiner students
Between semesters, a small unit saves hauling everything home. Split one with a roommate to keep the cost low.
